Our Hampton tents are 9.7m wide and are available in lengths including 15.2m, 21.2m and 27.2m. Because they are traditional pole-style tents, they need to be pegged into suitable ground, so they are generally intended for grass rather than concrete or paved surfaces.

A Hampton tent can be used as the main reception structure, but we also frequently like the idea of combining marquee styles. For example, a clear pavilion can form the main reception venue while a Hampton tent creates a separate cocktail, lounge or pre-dinner drinks area.

Yes. We have our own varnished timber flooring system, and for many Sydney weddings we strongly recommend it.

Flooring changes the whole feeling of a marquee. Instead of guests walking directly on grass or uneven ground, the marquee begins to feel much more like a proper wedding venue.

It is particularly useful on private properties where the lawn may not be completely flat. Our flooring system can also help us deal with gentle slopes and uneven areas while creating a much more comfortable internal surface.

From a styling point of view, timber flooring works extremely well with both clear pavilions and white roof marquees. It also suits Hampton tents beautifully. We would rather look at the actual site and give you an honest recommendation than add something simply because we can hire it to you.

It depends on much more than the number of guests. For approximately 80–100 guests, a 10m x 15m pavilion can often work well, depending on the seating and reception layout.

For a more formal wedding of around 100 guests with generous dining space, a dance floor and other features, something closer to 10m x 20m may make more sense.

The big variables are the table style, dance floor, bridal table, bar, DJ or band, lounge areas and how much space you want between guests.

Round tables generally need more room than people expect, while long tables create a different footprint again.

We do not like overselling marquee size because bigger is not automatically better. A marquee that is far too large can actually lose atmosphere.
