Overall Theme
First up take some thought to the overall colour theme you would like to add - do you want to add in one bold highlight colour, or perhaps prefer a spectrum of pastel colours. Or a strong metallic such as gold or brass. Or is it even a rainbow theme that you are dreaming of?

Have a look around the internet at colour schemes that you really like.
