Tennis Courts are an often-overlooked gem of outdoor events. In our years of experience, we have found people discount their tennis court as a potential event area when in fact they are perfect! Being an already level space, they are a ready-made area for a marquee that you can then make into your ideal event space.
Marquee on a Tennis Court FAQ’s
Frequently people don’t realise that they can have a marquee on a Tennis Court - here we debunk common Tennis Court marquee Myths!
The only access to my tennis court is via the gate - that is not terribly wide. How can my marquee fit?
- Great question! Our marquees are completely modular - so they pack down and can easily fit through a standard 1-person tennis court gate.
My access is steep and narrow - can you get a marquee in?
- Yes, generally we can! As per above FAQ, our marquees are modular so they pack down small and can get through narrow walkways and steep sections.
Please note, we do need to know about your access when you book so that we can plan and quote accordingly.
I didn’t think a Tennis Court Marquee would be rain-proof?
- Yes, they are - Event Marquees provide marquees with the option of having full sides that can be retracted for good weather or closed for inclement. To be assured that your event is completely rain-proof we highly recommend you add in our raised wooden flooring (like is pictured here).
Another great feature of (most) tennis courts is that already have built in effective drainage so if it does rain they are ready-equipped to ensure it drains away quickly.
Level Love
An amazing advantage of tennis courts is that they are already level - making them the ideal base for your marquee. Levelling a surface can be a timely exercise - but with a tennis court it is a quick and straightforward process with their flat foundation.
With your already flat surface you don’t have to add levelling costs to your overall marquee costs. #budgetwinner
Universities or Schools (and similar) Marquee on a Tennis Court
Many universities and schools have a tennis court - some have several. And a vast majority of the time they sit empty - when in fact you could be utilising them for all sorts of functions or events.
