2021 will most probably see COVID receding into the sunset ( and good riddance!) It will then be time to party.
Postponed parties; long awaited catch-ups; much needed family reunions; delayed functions; people are rolling up their sleeves and heading back into the land of events and social engagements.
With so many events on the cards, we are going to need more locations and in these times, they will need to be COVID-safe. It’s therefore time to get creative and to get flexible.

Despite the irony, we’re glad that this temporary concept is here to stay... permanently.
Pop-up spaces can be truly immersive for guests and attendees, they keep people on their toes and they lend themselves to original and if you wish, quirky or risky ideas.

The hospitality industry as a whole has done it tough throughout the pandemic, from one lockdown to another, many businesses have been impacted significantly.
Sometimes however, some good can come from a bad situation.
Exclusive outdoor dining set ups have played a key role in allowing restaurants, bars, cafes and pubs to remain open (outside of lockdown) and operate in a COVID-safe way. And unlike COVID itself, the notion of outdoor gatherings hopefully isn’t going away any time soon.
Businesses love it, patrons love it. It’s a win win.
As we come out of COVID, governments and local councils will most likely announce initiatives to revive the hard hit hospitality industry. The time will come to look for and create spaces for pop-up cafes, bars, events and other pop-up affairs so we will need to put our innovative and imaginative hats on and think of suitable spaces for events.
Laneways, parks, streets; footpaths, car parks, nature strips, parklands, empty storefronts, gallery spaces; university grounds; school yards. It’s time to uncover hidden gems in our local communities and transform them into event pop-up spaces.
There is no doubt that COVID changed the rulebook. What used to be is no longer and we think that is kind of exciting. Hospitality venues and event locations may need to think about using their spaces in a different way given that functions will need bigger spaces in order to be compliant with health and safety regulations.
It’s a chance for everyone to think outside the box, look at different locations for event hire. COVID has forced organisations to get creative and look at other ways of conducting business.
As long as there is a COVID-safe plan and locations adhere to health guidelines, the social distancing sky's the limit!
