Do You Provide Full Event Infrastructure or Just Marquees?

Wed May 6 2026 16:22:00 GMT+1000

What if we need more than just a marquee and don’t want to waste time dealing with five different hire companies to build one event?

Yes, we provide far more than just marquees, and for most corporate events that makes the process much easier. The more of the setup that can be planned together from the start, the smoother the event usually runs.

What does “full event infrastructure” actually mean?

For us, it means the key hire items that help turn a site into a functioning event space, not just a covered patch of ground.

That includes:

  • pavilion marquees
  • clear roof marquees
  • Hampton tents
  • wooden flooring
  • PVC interlocking event flooring
  • staging
  • lighting
  • tables and chairs
  • pallet furniture
  • wine barrels
  • picket fencing
  • artificial hedging
  • umbrellas and outdoor event pieces

A lot of clients begin with the marquee because that feels like the main item. But once the planning starts, they quickly realise the event also needs:

  • flooring so guests and staff can move safely
  • lighting so the space works at night
  • fencing to guide people
  • furniture so it feels finished
  • staging so presentations or entertainment can actually happen

That is why we say we are not just supplying a marquee. We are helping create the infrastructure that allows the event to function.

Why is it easier to use one supplier for most of the setup?

Because events get messy when too many suppliers are trying to solve the same site independently.

If one company is supplying the marquee, another the floor, another the stage, another the fencing, and someone else the furniture, then issues start to show up in the gaps:

  • who is setting first
  • whose equipment sits where
  • how walkways line up
  • who is responsible if timing slips

When more of the infrastructure comes from one team, all those pieces are planned together. The flooring is considered when the marquee is placed. The stage is considered when the layout is built. The fencing and hedging are considered when public movement is discussed.

That does not just save time. It usually produces a better event.

What equipment do clients most often add beyond the marquee?

It depends on the style of event, but the most common additions are usually flooring, lighting, furniture, and staging.

For more formal corporate events:

  • wooden flooring
  • chandeliers
  • staging
  • tables and chairs

For relaxed activations:

  • pallet furniture
  • wine barrels
  • umbrellas
  • festoon lighting
  • artificial hedging

For public events or outdoor activations:

  • picket fencing
  • PVC event flooring
  • smaller marquees for operations
  • back-of-house support structures

The key point is that the “extra” items are often not really extra. They are the things that make the event feel complete and make it function properly.

How do your flooring options change the event?

Quite a bit.

Our wooden flooring is a premium solution and works particularly well for higher-end events, dinners, and sites where comfort matters. Because it sits on a subframe, it can work on gentle slopes, allows water to pass underneath, and protects sensitive ground better than people expect. That makes it useful on premium venues, golf courses, and protected sites.

Our PVC event flooring is more practical and versatile. It is good for higher-traffic events, can take heavier loading, and allows cables to run underneath, which AV teams really appreciate. It is also faster to install and more budget-friendly.

Choosing the right flooring is not just about looks. It changes safety, comfort, and how the rest of the site works.

What role do fencing and hedging play in event infrastructure?

A bigger one than people think.

Our PVC picket fencing and artificial hedging are often used to:

  • direct guests
  • separate restricted areas
  • protect operational zones
  • improve presentation
  • create branded or styled boundaries

In activations and public events, that becomes very useful because it lets you shape how people move through the space without making the site feel harsh or over-controlled.

The same goes for artificial hedging. It softens the look of the event while also helping define zones, hide working areas, or create cleaner-looking edges around branded spaces.

Can the same infrastructure setup be delivered in multiple cities?

Yes, and this is one of the major benefits of our East Coast footprint.

Because we carry stock across:

  • Sydney marquee hire
  • Melbourne marquee hire
  • Gold Coast marquee hire

clients can build activations that look and function consistently across locations. That matters a lot for national brands, agencies, and multi-site campaigns.

It also saves them from doing expensive freight runs between states or redesigning the event every time it moves.

What if the client does not know exactly what they need yet?

That is normal.

Most clients do not come to us with a finished infrastructure plan. They come with:

  • an event idea
  • an audience size
  • a location
  • a deadline

From there, we help work through what is actually required. That might mean recommending less than they expected, not more. We are not interested in overloading a quote for the sake of it. We would rather help build the right setup than the biggest one.

Marquees are only one part of a successful event. The real result comes from how the flooring, lighting, furniture, fencing, and overall layout work together.

That is why we look at the full picture, not just the structure.
